Aerospace (internships), Transportation (current). Mass properties is typically not a subject that is touched upon in-depth in an academic environment. Usually one joins a mass properties team with SMEs from various experience paths, receives on-the-job and/or external training, and gets acquainted with the discipline that way. Joining REGENT Craft, a small transportation startup, straight out of finishing school, I am in, I believe, a fortunate and unique position where I am the first official member of the mass properties team, mostly guided by on-the-job training and experiences, high-level insights from various team members, and any and all resource I can find. Even though I have developed my fundamentals and increased my confidence with the discipline, there are still plenty of things I do not know that only a weights engineering SME would know: best practices, uncertainty, analysis, equipment, etc. This is why I believe becoming a SAWE mentee would be of great benefit to not only my understanding of the discipline, but also my professional development within weights engineering and beyond. Continue to learn and strengthen my fundamental skills and knowledge behind weights engineering. I would also like guidance with problems unique to our industry/vehicle using derivations from the other industries (e.g., aerospace, marine), which will help with how to approach engineering challenges with technically educated decision making. On the job training, no formal training taken externally B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech Georgia Tech College of Engineering Honors Award (Spring 2022) English (fluent), Spanish (fluent)
